The position is responsible for performing activities in support of the manufacturing / operations including trouble shooting on machinery and associated electrical / electronic devises, equipment inspection, installation and equipment system performance improvements. Maintain facility support equipment. Responsible foranalyzing circuits, wiring diagrams, and schematics to install, service, repair and or replace various types of electrical and electronic devices , components on the plant equipment / machinery and process improvements.
Specific Duties, Activities, and
Responsibilities:
Effectively read and interpret electrical / electronic schematics
Able to work with a variety of voltages and Amperages (480 V. 3ph down to 0-12 Volts D.C.)
Investigate, repairs, installs, diagnoses, and perform all necessary repairs to electrical / electronic controls and systems, electrical power distribution equipment, motor / motor controls (AC/DC drives), temperature controls, machine controls (relay and PLC), limits / proximity / photoelectric sensing devices.
Experience working with compressors, boilers, heat exchangers, ovens, product transfer systems, packaging machinery, labelers and conveying systems.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) onequipment and support equipment.
Documentation Support-Maintains and updates Engineering Dept. documentation files as necessary to reflect current status / revision level of the plant equipment and systems.
System Integration-Assists with system and equipment integration / installations, set-ups, programming and configuration.
PLC Programming-Assist in the development and debug of PLC ladder logic for automated machine controls and systems.
Understands and applies the use of hand and power tools, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
Support projects and miscellaneous activities as required
Professionally interact with other departments
Available for 24 hr. call in when requested.
Other duties as assigned.
Education or Equivalent:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Vocational diploma from a trade school in Industrial Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics or other related discipline preferred.
Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years' experience as anelectrician and or electronic technician in a manufacturing environment preferred.
General industrial electrical troubleshooting on process equipment.
GMP & FDA knowledge desirable.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Strong Electrical aptitude.
Ability to trouble shoot low voltage and well as high voltage problems
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs is desirable.
Demonstrate the ability to use Volt / Ohm meter, Amp probe
Trouble shoot and or program Temperature controllers
Experience with frequency drives
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Works well under pressure and able to prioritize workloads.
Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and styles within and between departments.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to perform risk assessments in a timely manner and act accordingly.
Should be familiar with GMP & FDA safe work practices.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak clear English.
Have own tools.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders/steps, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
Reading of written documents and use of computer &monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, handling, grasping.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
An ability to properly don or use safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses, respirator, face shield, hearing protection, etc.
Pay: $20 - $25 per hour depending on experience.
