REPORTS TO:
DIRECTOR OF PUPIL PERSONNELJOB GOALAssist in the implementation of school district health standards.
Performance Responsibilities Provides direct nursing care to students and staff in accordance with professional standards, school policies and procedure, and state and local mandates Maintains accurate, complete records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation Collects and maintains current health-related data, i.
e.
medical records, incident of diseases, physical and immunization records Administers and monitors medication, subject to local policy regarding the administration of medication at school Strives to remain current in the field of nursing through professional growth activities, workshops, in-services Provides crisis intervention support and/or emergency care for students and/or staff in the event of sudden illness or injury Serves as a liaison between home, school, community health agencies and the private medical sector Cooperates with staff, administration, and parents to promote and maintain a sound healthy learning environment Serves on building and/or district committees as requested Participates in School Improvement Processes Administers hearing and vision tests, contingent upon appropriate certification Monitors students with specific medical needs Performs other health or school related duties as assigned TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Extended contract (185 days) Classified position with salary and hours to be established by the Board of EducationEVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with theprovisions established by the Board of Education.
SALARY RANGE:
$20.
